Hi all,

Just joined this forum because I'm intered buying an Outlander 1 Turbo, I saw there is a lot of interest here in O1T and members owning one. Sorry about english language, I'm from Romania . I read about the good and bads points of the car in general. There is an O1T in my area, asking price is 5.500 euro (25.000 PLN). I thought to post a few pics and a video and ask what you think, worth buy this car or not. I'm mainly concern about rust from under the car, is that a big problem? You can answer in polish too, I'll use google translator.

Właśnie dołączyłem do tego forum, ponieważ jestem zainteresowany kupnem Outlandera 1 Turbo, zauważyłem, że jest duże zainteresowanie tutaj O1T i posiadaczami użytkowników. Przepraszam za język angielski, jestem z Rumunii . Czytałem ogólnie o dobrych i złych stronach samochodu. W mojej okolicy jest O1T, cena wywoławcza to 5.500 euro (25.000 zł). Pomyślałem, żeby wrzucić kilka fotek i filmik i zapytać, co myślisz, czy warto kupić ten samochód, czy nie. Martwię się głównie o rdzę spod auta, czy to duży problem? Możesz też odpowiedzieć po polsku, użyję tłumacza Google.

Cześć z tego co widać na zajęciach to tylko powierzchowna korozja. Korozję trzeba wyczyścić i zrobić dobre zabezpieczenie antykorozyjne.

Hi Constantin! It doesn't look so bad at all, but as You said, rust is a problem in these cars. Nevertheless before buying You should take the car to some workshop and ask them to check the condition of crossmembers of both front and rear suspension. Breaks, clutch, etc. There are also problems with cracking of exhaust manifold. The price (5000 euro) is a bit too high, but if condition of the car would be worth it.

Last week I went and saw the car. This was my first encounter with an O1T, but I have managed to check all the essential stuff, because of all the reading, especially this great forum. The car looked good at first sight, the interior was in good condition. Under the car there was kind of too much rust on suspension, especially on front crossmember. It was clear that this car wasn't protected too much from the elements. The exhaust manifold was ok too. The test drive went good, car accelerated well, no sounds from suspension, but the seller informed me that sometimes there is knocking sound from 4x4 shaft, somewhere under car, at the middle (any ideas how bad this was?).

What seemed odd to me, the car has 150K, but the steering wheel leather have been replaced, so maybe the mileage wasn't real, it's usual in Romania to modify this in the advantage of seller.

Seller was fixed at 5500 euro, which just seemed too much for me for the condition of the car. Additionally the tires weren't too good also, no service history, brakes looked tired, rust under the car needed to be dealt with. So I decided not to buy it and wait for a better one. Now I'm thinking to import one from Germany, although seems hard to find one at a good price. I'll keep you updated, seems that I'm fixed on O1T now.

W zeszłym tygodniu poszedłem i zobaczyłem samochód. To było moje pierwsze spotkanie z O1T, ale udało mi się sprawdzić wszystkie istotne rzeczy, ze względu na całą lekturę, zwłaszcza to świetne forum. Samochód na pierwszy rzut oka wyglądał dobrze, wnętrze było w dobrym stanie. Pod samochodem było zbyt dużo rdzy na zawieszeniu, zwłaszcza na przedniej belce poprzecznej. Było jasne, że ten samochód nie był zbytnio chroniony przed żywiołami. Kolektor wydechowy też był w porządku. Jazda próbna poszła dobrze, auto dobrze przyspieszyło, brak odgłosów z zawieszenia, ale sprzedawca poinformował mnie, że czasami słychać stukanie z wału 4x4, gdzieś pod autem, na środku (jakieś pomysły jak źle to było?).

Co wydawało mi się dziwne, samochód ma 150K, ale skórzana kierownica została wymieniona, więc może przebieg nie był prawdziwy, w Rumunii zwykle modyfikuje się to na korzyść sprzedawcy.

Sprzedawca został ustalony na 5500 euro, co wydawało mi się po prostu za dużo jak na stan samochodu. Dodatkowo opony też nie były zbyt dobre, brak historii serwisowej, hamulce wyglądały na zmęczone, trzeba było zająć się rdzą pod samochodem. Postanowiłem więc nie kupować i czekać na lepszy. Teraz myślę o imporcie z Niemiec, chociaż wydaje mi się, że ciężko jest znaleźć taki w dobrej cenie. Będę Cię na bieżąco informować, wygląda na to, że naprawiłem teraz O1T.

+1. Is very hard to translate audio polish, YT doesn't automatically add subtitles to polish, so at least adding custom subtitle to existing video will still be very good

Unfortunately, adding subtitles to my films would take me too long and on the phone it is a very tedious job. In my current situation, I cannot afford such editing. I always try to reply to the comments of foreign viewers and explain what needs to be done.

Check the fuel tank. I can see a lot of rust on the rear suspension.

Yes, there was too much rust under the car, this is the main reason I have decided it not to buy it, now I'm waiting for a better one to come my way
